Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 at an Olympic contest. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci in the age group of six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics instructor. The first time she competed at the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she bagged three gold awards. In 1973 and 1974 she was named the all-around junior champ. At her first competition with a senior team in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning four gold and one silver medals. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars using an inverse salto that doubled backward. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business started in her teens when she began dancing as a figure skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her professional career in the entertainment business at the age of a teenager. At the age of a girl she was Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. These shows included theatrical ice-skating performances.
